(ਸਮਾਜਵੀਕਲੀ) ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ‘ਬਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ’ ਤੇ ‘ਅਸ਼ਟਮ ਬਲਬੀਰਾ’ ਜਿਹੇ ਲਫਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਦੇ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਵਾਰਸ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼1656 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ। ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਰਾਮਰਾਇ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਔਰੰਗਜੇਬ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ-ਰਸੂਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ‘ਮਿਟੀ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਕੀ ਪੇੜੈ ਪਈ ਕੁਮਿਆਰ’ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ‘ਮਿੱਟੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨ ਕੀ, ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਜੋਂ 6 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, 1661 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਆਸੀਨ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 5 ਸਾਲ, 3 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਾਏ ਧੀਰ ਮੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਸੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਢਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਇੱਧਰੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੇ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਿਉਂਤਾਂ ਗੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਨਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਧਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤ ਸਮਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ‘ਨਹਿ ਮਲੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਹ ਹੈ’ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਲੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਵਰਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਹੇਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਦਿਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਖ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਇਕ ਸਾਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਆਪ ਪਾਲਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਕੋਹੜੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਕੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਲੇਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।..

Why is there so much of hatred towards JNU in India’s rich urban savarna class and the root lies in that whatever me the fault line inside JNU and I have said it many time that caste supremacy of the elite remain intact in the JNU, yet it has also provided space to a huge number of groups which would not have got it in any other university. In the last few years, organisations like Birsa Ambedkar Phule Student Association ( BAPSA) has emerged a powerful tool to mobilise the students from the marginalised sections and they have challenged the main power groups. There are other groups too. Ofcourse, it remain the only place where the left student unions still holds their impressive influence over the students and the reason is the huge diversity and representation of wider sections in JNU, a unique point of the University. But this uniqueness is under the challenge now. As JNU provided these spaces and now a large number of the scholars from deprived sections are emerging and challenging the popular narrative and questioning the authorities as well as building alternative narratives and ideas, the dominant forces remain afraid of these new emerging ideas. Basically, it is not a war on JNU but frankly war on India’s Dalit Bahujan classes and their scholars to ensure quality education remain out of their reach...

Bucharest, Klaus Iohannis was elected as Romanian President for a second term in the presidential election on Sunday, after he defeated his rival, Social Democrat and former Prime Minister Viorica Dancila. “It’s an important victory, the most categorical victory ever obtained against the Social Democratic Party (PSD),” said Iohannis from the headquarters of the National Liberal Party (PNL), which he heads, just after the exit polls foreshadowed his triumph with more than 66 per cent of the votes. “I accept this victory with joy, with modesty and with confidence in Romania,” Efe news quoted Romania’s President as saying. With 94 per cent of the precincts reporting, Iohannis obtained 62.8 per cent of the vote to Dancila’s 37.1 per cent, according to figures published by the Central Election Office. The president said that he was not “at war with the PSD voters, but rather with the PSD,” a party that has been tainted by corruption allegations but that has dominated the political scene in recent years and has been harshly criticized both within the country and from abroad...

ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਣਾ- ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਣਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਬਹਿਣਾ। ਦੌੜਨਾ, ਛੂਹਣਾ, ਧੱਕੇ ਦੇ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਾ ਫੇਰ…ਖਿੜ ਖਿੜਾ ਕੇ ਹੱਸਣਾ। ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਣਾ- ਪੈਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰੱਖ- ਸਿੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਨੱਪਣਾ, ਲਿਪਣਾ। ਹੋਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪਾ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲੱਗਣਾ ਕਿ ‘ਪੱਕ ਏ’ ਤਾਂ- ਹੌਲ਼ੀ ਜਿਹੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਣਾ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਾ….. ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ। ਤੀਲੇ ਤੋੜਨੇ, ਘਰ ਸਜਾਉਣਾ। ਇੱਕ ਝੰਡਾ ਗੱਡ ਦੇਣਾ, ਅਣਜਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਫਤਿਹ ਦਾ। ਇੱਕ ਤੀਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਤਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਮੋਟਰ ਬਣਾਉਣੀ ਤੇ ਆਡ ਵੀ। ਛੋਟੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਖੇਤ ਬਣਾਉਣੇ, ਤੇ ਹਰੇ ਘਾਹ ਦੇ ਤੀਲੇ ਗੱਡ ਕੇ ਫਸਲ ਬੀਜਣੀ। ਸਮਾਂ ਭੁਲ ਜਾਣਾ—- ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਣੀ- ‘ਝਾਈ’ ‘ਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਏ। ਘਰ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਆਉਣਾ। ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਾਰਨਾ। ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ- ਪੈਰ ਮਾਰ ਢਾਹੁਣਾ, ਬੜਾ ਚਾਅ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਆਖਣਾ- ‘ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗੇ, ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢਾਵਾਂਗੇ।’ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਤਾੜਨਾ ਤੇ ਖਿੜ ਜਾਣਾ- ਘਰ ਢਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਦ, ਬਣਾਉਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਆਉਣਾ। ਪਰ… ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ- ਹੁਣ ਕਿੱਧਰੋਂ ‘ਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ। ਹੁਣ ਘਰ ਢਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੀਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ- ਤੇ ‘ਪਿੱਛੇ’ ਮੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। – ਅਵਤਾਰ..
