Minister brings Jallianwala Bagh’s soil to national museum

New Delhi, Union Culture Minister Prahlad Patel on Tuesday brought the soil of Jallianwala Bagh in an urn to Delhi to be kept at the National Museum to mark the centenary of the 1919 British colonial era massacre. “Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Prahlad S Patel visited Jalianwala Bagh National Memorial, Amritsar, today. The urn of the holy soil of the martyr land is being brought to Delhi by him which will be kept in the National Museum,” the Tourism Ministry said in a tweet. The Ministry in a statement later said that the soil of the Jallianwala Bagh was brought to the National Museum so that the youths and the people visiting the museum gets inspiration from the martyrs of the freedom fighters. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in Amritsar during the Baisakhi festival on April 13, 1919 when the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer opened fire at a crowd staging a pro-independence demonstration, leaving over 400 people including 41 children dead. The move comes at a time when a bill that seeks to do away with the automatic nomination of the President of the Congress to the Jallianwala Bagh Trust was introduced in Lok Sabha in July this year...

President pays tribute to former Maharaja of Mysore

Mysuru, President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday attended the birth centenary celebration of Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar of Mysore. In his address on the occasion, the President, who reached Karnataka on a three-day visit on Thursday, said that Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar (1919-74, reigned 1940-50), was an exceptional ruler and able administrator, as well as a noted philosopher, music exponent, political thinker and philanthropist. When India won independence, he was the first among the rulers of India’s princely states to accept the Instrument of Accession, Kovind said. “The Maharaja signed the pact on August 9, 1947 and the Union Government accepted it on August 16. He should be thus regarded as the icon of India’s transition to democracy. His pioneering contribution to the unity and integrity of the newly independent nation will never be forgotten,” he added. The President also said Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, who remained titular maharaja till his death in 1974, was not only an exceptional scholar of Indian philosophy himself but also promoted scholarship through the “Jayachamaraja Grantha Ratna Mala”. “His support for entrepreneurship is also an inspiring story. ਗਿਆਨ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਚੂਲ ਹੈ. ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੀ ਲੋਗ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣ ਦੇ ਹਨ. ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝ ਦਾ ਹੈ. ਭਾਂਵੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਅੱਜ ਕਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੋਤ ਜਿਵੇਂ; ਇੰਟਰਨੇਟ, ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡਿਆ, ਟੀ. ਵੀ., ਸੰਤਾ, ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਆਦਿ ਹਨ. ਪਰ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ. ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵੀ ਟੁੱਟਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਸ਼ਿਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਅਧੂਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਘਾਤਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ I ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੱਧਾ ਭਾਵ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਸੁਨਣ/ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, 150-200 ਸਫ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਖਿਪਤ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ. ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਇੱਕ ਘੰਟੇ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾਲ, ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ. ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਥਾਈਂ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਆਂ ਆਇਆਂ ਹਨ. ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ-ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ. ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਨਤ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਹੈ. ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਬਿਜ਼ਨੈਸਮੈਨ, ਫਿਲੋਸਫਾਰ, ਲੀਡਰ, ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਗ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ. ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਟ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ. ਇਹ ਆਦਤ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਮਹਾਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੈ. ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ “leaders are readers”. ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਰਮਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਪਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੇ ਕਲਚਰ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲੰਦੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ. ਓਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ. ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ‘ਹੋਰ ਸੁਣਾ, ਹੋਰ ਸੁਣਾ’ ਕਹਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ. ਅਫਸੋਸ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸੱਭਿਆਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਆਨ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਚਾਹਤ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਫੁਕਰੇਬਾਜੀ ਦਾ ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ ਵੱਧ ਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਅੱਸੀਂ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ...

ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਅੱਜ

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ, 4 ਜੁਲਾਈ – ਬਜਟ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਸੀਤਾਰਮਣ ਨੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ‘ਚ ਸਾਲ 2019-20 ਲਈ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਾਧਾ ਦਰ 7 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਲਗਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਮੁੱਖ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣਾਮੂਰਤੀ ਸੁਬਰਾਮਣਿਅਨ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲ 2025 ਤੱਕ 50 ਅਰਬ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੀ ਅਰਥਵਿਵਸਥਥਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ 8 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਦਰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2019 ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਘਾਟਾ 5.8 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂਕਿ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2018 ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ 6.4 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਸੀ। ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ‘ਚ ਵਿੱਤ ਸਾਲ 2019-20 ‘ਚ ਜੇਡੀਪੀ ਗ੍ਰੋਥ ਰੇਟ 7 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵਿੱਤ ਸਾਲ 2018-19 ‘ਚ ਜੇਡੀਪੀ ਗ੍ਰੋਥ ਰੇਟ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ 2018-19 : ਸਾਲ 2019-20 ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਸਤ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗ੍ਰੋਥ ‘ਤੇ ਦਬਾਅ, ਭੋਜਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ‘ਚ ਕਮੀ, ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਦਾ ਲੌੜੀਂਦਾ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਭਵਿੱਖ ‘ਚ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਜਲ ਸੰਕਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ‘ਚ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, 2050 ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ‘ਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਸੀਤਾਰਮਨ 5 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਦ ‘ਚ ਬਜਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਣਗੇ।ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੀਐਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ 5000 ਅਰਬ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਚਾਰਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਖਾਕਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਊਰਜਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਾਭ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਰਥਕ ਸਰਵੇ ‘ਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ 5 ਟ੍ਰਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਦਾ ਅਰਥਚਾਰਾ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ 2025 ਤੱਕ 8 ਫੀਸਦ ਜੀਡੀਪੀ ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।..
