Jammu, (Samajweekly) As many as 182 tested positive for coronavirus on Friday in J&K, taking the total number of Covid-19 patients in the Union Territory to 3,324. A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said of the new cases, 108 were in Kashmir division and 74 in Jammu division. So far, 36 people have died after they were infected by the dreaded virus in J&K. Bike ambulance to cover entire Delhi: CM

ew Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said his government plans to expand the bike ambulance services to the entire city as he claimed that the pilot with 16 bikes was successful. To provide the last-mile emergency healthcare services to the people of Delhi living in the narrow lanes, the government launched the bike ambulance service in February. Kejriwal said his government has decided to expand the service to cover all of Delhi. “I am happy that patients living in the narrow lanes are also getting the health facilities through bike ambulances. Soon, this will be expanded to the entire city,” said Kejriwal. The Delhi government had in February this year flagged off 16 bike ambulances on a pilot basis in one district of east Delhi. “The service received an overwhelmingly response from residents. MP records 89 fresh corona cases

Bhopal, (Samajweekly) Neemuch, a town from Green Zone in west Madhya Pradesh reported four coronavirus cases to add to the health authorities’ woes on Wednesday as the state records 89 fresh corona cases in 24 hours taking the total tally to 3,138. In the last 24 hours, nine people have died of coronavirus taking the death toll to 185, a health official said. Four deaths were reported in Bhopal, two in Indore and one each in Khandwa, Mandsaur and Burhanpur, official said. Of total deaths due to the pandemic in the state, Indore, the worst-affected district, accounts for 81. It has also 1,681 confirmed cases with 26 new COVID-19 positive persons found since last night. Since Tuesday night, 34 new patients were detected in Bhopal, followed by four each in Mandsaur, Dewas, Ratlam and Neemuch, three each in Jabalpur and Burhanpur, two in Gwalior and one each in Khandwa , Dhar, Agar Malwa, Shajapur and Shivpuri. Bhopal now has 605 cases, Ujjain 184, Jabalpur 109, Khargone 79, Dhar 76, Raisen 63 and Khandwa 50. Overall, COVID-19 cases have been reported from 35 districts with Neemuch for the first time reporting four virus confirmed cases. Apart from Indore (81) and Bhopal (20), 40 persons died in Ujjain, seven each in Khargone, Khandwa and Dewas, four each in Burhanpur and Mandsaur, three each in Hoshangabad, Raisen and Jabalpur and one each in Dhar, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Chhindwara, Satna and Ashok Nagar...

While 753 patients were discharged on Sunday, taking the total number of discharged patients to 40,365. Gujarat witnessed over 23,000 positive cases detected in the twenty six days of July, almost each day with a new record. On Sunday, the state saw 1,110 positive cases, the highest daily spike on a single day in four months, from 21,708 tests during the past 24 hours, the highest total tests carried out on a single day so far. Surat, the new hotspot is also witnessing each day with a higher count, registering nearly 27 per cent of Sunday’s positive cases. The diamond city recorded 299 cases on Sunday, while Ahmedabad saw 163 cases.
