Trust to open bank accounts, seek donations for Ayodhya mosque

WhatsAppFacebookTwitterTelegramEmailPrint Ayodhya, (Samajweekly) The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), the trust constituted by the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya, is inviting donations and will open two bank accounts for the purpose. The trust will also set up a website with an inbuilt gateway to receive donations online. “The Trust has decided to open accounts in two private sector banks for receiving donations. Both will be current accounts. Complying with the Supreme Court’s verdict, the Trust will construct a mosque, a hospital, community kitchen, and a library on the 5-acre land allotted to the Waqf Board at Dhannipur village in Ayodhya district,” said Trust Secretary Athar Hussain. A financial officer too has been appointed for audit and keep the records of funds received, he said. “… even non-Muslims are welcome to donate. We are already receiving calls from those willing to donate for the proposed mosque and other public facilities.” The Trust was formed with nine members on board, with six more to be added soon...

Ranchi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that a grand Ram temple would be constructed at Ayodhya. Addressing a rally at Palamau ahead of the November-December Jharkhand Assembly elections, the senior BJP leader said: “BJP does what it promises. People used to say that the BJP makes only promises but we have fulfilled all promises. Now there is one law in country (after removal of Article 370). We formulated law to end triple talaq. A grand Ram temple will be constructed at Ayodhya.” Asserting that the BJP has done work “faster than other governments”, he promised that no family without a home will be left in the country by 2022. “The poor people never had thought that gas cylinder would reach their homes. I thank Chief Minister Raghubar Das for providing gas stoves along with free cylinder. The government has decided that people will not to have fetch water from wells. We will ensure drinking water to every household. Electricity has reached each village,” he said. The Minister also said that the state, has “to a larger extent”, curbed the Maoist menace. “The Maoist are making some efforts before the polls but no one will be allowed to carry guns. Maoist should desist from nefarious activities.”..

Ayodhya, (Samajweekly) The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has unanimously passed the map for the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya. A meeting of the ADA was held on Wednesday which passed the map. This clears the way for the construction of the temple in the holy city. According to official sources, the covered area of the temple land is around 13,000 square metres. Anil Mishra, member of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, had submitted the map for approval on August 29 along with other necessary documents. ADA sources said that there was complete unanimity among ADA officials on passing the map. With the completion of this formality, temple construction can now begin any time...
