ਵੇਰਕਾ, 28 ਨਵੰਬਰ (ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੱਗਾ)-ਹਲਕਾ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਸਬਾ ਵੇਰਕਾ `ਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਇਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਫੈਲੀ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਲਪੇਟ `ਚ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਵਕੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਗਰ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ `ਚ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ | ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੇਰੇ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ (71) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਗਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਸਿਤਾਰਾ ਐਵੀਨਿਊ ਵੇਰਕਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਮਾਨ ਡੇਂਗੂੁ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰਟ ਅਟੈਕ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪੀੜਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੇਰਕਾ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮਜੀਠਾ ਬਾਈਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਵੇਰਕਾ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ਾਨਘਾਟ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਿਖਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਲੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ | ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ `ਚ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ 22 ਸਾਲਾ ਨਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਵ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਅਜੀਤ ਨਗਰ ਵੇਰਕਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਗੜਨ `ਤੇ ਵੇਰਕਾ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਥੇ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਰ ਰੋਗ `ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਨਾ ਪੈਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ | ਹਲਕਾ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਰਕਾ, ਵੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਮੋਹਕਮਪੁਰਾ `ਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 13 `ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ |..

Datia-Udgwan (Madhya Pradesh), (Samajweekly) While Madhya Pradesh witnessed peaceful arrival of 343 migrant labourers from Nashik to Bhopal on Saturday morning there were violent scenes later in the day in the constituency of Health and home minister Narottam Mishra when the police tried to stop labourers coming from Uttar Pradesh. There was a major traffic jam at the border post of the two states in Johariya village on Shivpuri-Jhansi highway when police stopped people from crossing the borders into Madhya Pradesh. With no solution emerging for more than 12 hours the workers created a volatile situation on the highway by blocking traffic with boulders. With stranded vehicles forming long queues on both sides of the border there was a threat of violence.Collector of Datia Rohit Singh, SP Aman Singh Rathore and other officials reached the spot. Collector and SP of Jhansi also reached from UP side. After long discussion between the officials of the two states, 10 vehicles were given passage from each state and traffic was eases on the highway. There were 4,000 workers in 300 vehicles, migrant laborers started arriving at Jhansi Border near Johariya village from around 10 pm on Friday night from places like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP etc. These labourers arrived here from Jhansi by various means to reach Kanpur Dehat, Basti Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Orai, Jalaun, Moth etc. The number of these vehicles exceeded about 300. There were about 4,000 workers among them. After stopping them, when these people did not listen to them, they created a ruckus by creating a ruckus. (ਸਮਾਜਵੀਕਲੀ) ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ‘ਬਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ’ ਤੇ ‘ਅਸ਼ਟਮ ਬਲਬੀਰਾ’ ਜਿਹੇ ਲਫਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਦੇ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਵਾਰਸ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼1656 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ। ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਰਾਮਰਾਇ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਔਰੰਗਜੇਬ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ-ਰਸੂਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ‘ਮਿਟੀ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਕੀ ਪੇੜੈ ਪਈ ਕੁਮਿਆਰ’ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ‘ਮਿੱਟੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨ ਕੀ, ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਜੋਂ 6 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, 1661 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਆਸੀਨ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 5 ਸਾਲ, 3 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਾਏ ਧੀਰ ਮੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਸੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਢਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਇੱਧਰੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੇ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਿਉਂਤਾਂ ਗੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਨਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਧਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤ ਸਮਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ‘ਨਹਿ ਮਲੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਹ ਹੈ’ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਲੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਵਰਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਹੇਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਦਿਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਖ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਇਕ ਸਾਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਆਪ ਪਾਲਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਕੋਹੜੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਕੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਲੇਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।..

ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਣਾ- ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਣਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਬਹਿਣਾ। ਦੌੜਨਾ, ਛੂਹਣਾ, ਧੱਕੇ ਦੇ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਾ ਫੇਰ…ਖਿੜ ਖਿੜਾ ਕੇ ਹੱਸਣਾ। ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਣਾ- ਪੈਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰੱਖ- ਸਿੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਨੱਪਣਾ, ਲਿਪਣਾ। ਹੋਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪਾ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲੱਗਣਾ ਕਿ ‘ਪੱਕ ਏ’ ਤਾਂ- ਹੌਲ਼ੀ ਜਿਹੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਣਾ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਾ….. ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ। ਤੀਲੇ ਤੋੜਨੇ, ਘਰ ਸਜਾਉਣਾ। ਇੱਕ ਝੰਡਾ ਗੱਡ ਦੇਣਾ, ਅਣਜਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਫਤਿਹ ਦਾ। ਇੱਕ ਤੀਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਤਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਮੋਟਰ ਬਣਾਉਣੀ ਤੇ ਆਡ ਵੀ। ਛੋਟੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਖੇਤ ਬਣਾਉਣੇ, ਤੇ ਹਰੇ ਘਾਹ ਦੇ ਤੀਲੇ ਗੱਡ ਕੇ ਫਸਲ ਬੀਜਣੀ। ਸਮਾਂ ਭੁਲ ਜਾਣਾ—- ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਣੀ- ‘ਝਾਈ’ ‘ਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਏ। ਘਰ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਆਉਣਾ। ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਾਰਨਾ। ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ- ਪੈਰ ਮਾਰ ਢਾਹੁਣਾ, ਬੜਾ ਚਾਅ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਆਖਣਾ- ‘ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗੇ, ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢਾਵਾਂਗੇ।’ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਤਾੜਨਾ ਤੇ ਖਿੜ ਜਾਣਾ- ਘਰ ਢਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਦ, ਬਣਾਉਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਆਉਣਾ। ਪਰ… ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ- ਹੁਣ ਕਿੱਧਰੋਂ ‘ਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ। ਹੁਣ ਘਰ ਢਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੀਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ- ਤੇ ‘ਪਿੱਛੇ’ ਮੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। – ਅਵਤਾਰ..

However, the CLC had directed its regional heads in 20 centres around the country to enumerate every migrant worker stranded due to the lockdown within three days during the second week of April, said RTI activist Venkatesh Nayak. “On April 21, I submitted an online RTI application to the CLC seeking the data of migrants stranded and placed in various temporary shelters/relief camps or other places,” Nayak said. On May 5, after the lockdown 3.0 was implemented, Nayak got an automated email stating that his RTI application had been disposed of with the reply: “As per the stat section is concerned, no such details are available based on the requisite information.” “There was no indication whether my RTI application would be transferred to any other section or public authority, or if any effort would be made to collate the information from the enumeration exercise and make it publicly available,” said Nayak. “So the CLC CPIO’s cryptic one-lin reply raises serious doubts about the availability of data about migrant workers despite the launching of the enumeration exercise,” said Nayak. He pointed out that hundreds of thousands of men, women and children, who had migrated from their home states to other cities, towns or villages, suddenly found themselves jobless and penniless as the economy ground to a halt due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown...
