मेरा घर… जहाँ दरवाजे बंद है, बाहर की हवा अंदर नही आती, अंदर की हवा बाहर नाही जाती। मेरा घर.. जहाँ बात नही होती, बस होता है… चिखना-चिल्लना, गाली-गेलोच और मार-पीट! मेरा घर… जहाँ बताये हुये आदेशों पर चालना पडता है, हुक्म को मानना पडता है! मेरा घर … जहाँ एक ही की आवाज होती है, और दुसरें के तो सांसो की आहटें! मेरा घर …. वैसे तो देखने मैं हर चीज अपनी जागह पर है, पर … वहा के लोग घर मे रहना पसंद ही नाही करते! मेरा घर.. वहा मेरी सांसे रुक जाती है, दिल की धडकन तेज हो जाती है, मन भारी होने लागता है। वह कहता है … “निकल यहाँ से … कहीं और चाली जा ! … नही तो यहाँ साँसे फुल जायेगी!” सोचती हुँ… चली ही जाऊँ घर छोड़कर! वैसे तो कहने को मेरा वहां कुछ भी नही है… … सिवाय जमाणे के रिवाज के! -हेमांगी..

Lucknow, (Samajweekly) Acclaimed shooter Vartika Singh has announced a reward of Rs 51,000 for anyone who helps in the arrest of Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Mohammad Saad Kandhalvi. In a video message posted on the social media, Vartika has asked the government to book the cleric for sedition because he has endangered the lives of millions by hosting the Tablighi Jamaat meeting in the midst of the Corona scare. “The Tablighi Jamaat chief has thrown the nation into a crisis. The number of Coronavirus positive cases have spiked in the country after the Tablighi Jamaat meet. This man should be arrested without delay. I have announced the reward so that people come forward with information about his whereabouts,” she said. Vartika is known for creating controversies. Nirbhaya convict’s wife moves court for divorce

New Delhi, In yet another ploy to delay hanging, wife of a Nirbhaya convict has filed for a divorce in a local court in Bihar’s Aurangabad. In the plea, the wife of convict Akshay Kumar Singh has said she does not want to live the life of a widow as her husband is set to be hanged on March 20. The court has posted the matter for March 19. Punita, Akshaya’s wife, has said, “My husband is innocent. I want to be legally divorced before he is hanged.” Punita’s lawyer Mukesh Kumar Singh, speaking to media in Aurangabad said, “My client (Akshay Kumar Singh’s wife Punita Singh) has a right to seek divorce from her husband. That is why I have filed a plea in the family court. She has the right to seek divorce under Section 13(2)(II) of Hindu Marriage Act which says a woman can seek divorce if the husband has, since the solemnisation of the marriage, been guilty of rape, sodomy or bestiality.” A senior lawyer at Tis Hazari court in Delhi told IANS, “Yes, the woman can file for divorce if her husband has been convicted in a case of rape.” All the four convicts of Nirbhaya — Mukesh Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar Singh (31) are currently lodged in Tihar jail and are set to be hanged on March 20. They have been using tactics to delay the hanging, which has already been postponed twice. They have even approached international court and India’s Human Rights Commission...

New Delhi, The Central government on Sunday told the Delhi High Court that the indefinite stay imposed on the execution of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case was a “deliberate, well-calculated and well-thought out attempt to frustrate the process of law” and that there should be “no delay” in their hanging. The bench of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, holding during a special court proceeding on the weekend, later reserved its order on the Centre’s plea. Appearing for the Centre, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said: “In the interest of the society and victim, there should be no delay. Even in the case of the convicts, the Supreme Court says that there should be no delay as it would have dehumanising effect on the convict.” He also presented a chart before the court explaining the legal remedies availed by the four death row convicts till now. The court was hearing a petition filed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) challenging the stay imposed by the sessions court on the hanging of Vinay, Akshay, Mukesh and Pawan — convicted for raping a medical student in December 2012. “There is a deliberate, well-calculated and well-thought design to frustrate the process of law. Mukesh took an ingenious plea which the trial court mistakenly accepted. Mercy jurisdiction is individual,” Mehta said...

He was the only convict who had not availed of the remedy of mercy petition. Another convict, Akshay Singh, had last week filed another mercy plea, asserting that the previous one was “incomplete”. The four convicts — Akshay Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Kumar Sharma and Mukesh Kumar — are scheduled to be hanged at 6 a.m. on March 3. The case pertains to the gang-rape and murder of a 23-year-old girl, called later as Nirbhaya, in the national capital in December 2012. Six people, including the four convicts and a juvenile, were named as accused. Ram Singh, the sixth accused, allegedly committed suicide in Tihar jail days after the trial began in the case. The juvenile was released in 2015 after spending three years in a correctional home...

New Delhi, A Delhi court on Monday dismissed an application seeking stay on execution of death-row convicts in Nirbhaya rape and murder case. The four convicts –Akshay Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Kumar Sharma and Mukesh Kumar — are scheduled to be hanged at 6 a.m. on March 3. After the pronouncement of order, counsel for convicts, A.P. Singh apprised Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana that Pawan has filed a mercy petition on Monday. The court will consider the fresh mercy petition at 2 p.m. on Monday. The convict filed the plea after his curative petition was rejected by the Supreme Court earlier on Monday. Pawan was the only convict who had not yet exhausted his legal remedies. Nirbhaya’s mother expressed happiness over dismissal of convict’s application and said, “I am glad that they will be hanged tomorrow.
