Bhopal, (Samajweekly) Neemuch, a town from Green Zone in west Madhya Pradesh reported four coronavirus cases to add to the health authorities’ woes on Wednesday as the state records 89 fresh corona cases in 24 hours taking the total tally to 3,138. In the last 24 hours, nine people have died of coronavirus taking the death toll to 185, a health official said. Four deaths were reported in Bhopal, two in Indore and one each in Khandwa, Mandsaur and Burhanpur, official said. Of total deaths due to the pandemic in the state, Indore, the worst-affected district, accounts for 81. It has also 1,681 confirmed cases with 26 new COVID-19 positive persons found since last night. Since Tuesday night, 34 new patients were detected in Bhopal, followed by four each in Mandsaur, Dewas, Ratlam and Neemuch, three each in Jabalpur and Burhanpur, two in Gwalior and one each in Khandwa , Dhar, Agar Malwa, Shajapur and Shivpuri. Bhopal now has 605 cases, Ujjain 184, Jabalpur 109, Khargone 79, Dhar 76, Raisen 63 and Khandwa 50. Overall, COVID-19 cases have been reported from 35 districts with Neemuch for the first time reporting four virus confirmed cases. Bhopal (Samajweekly) With 181 persons testing positive on Wednesday, the number of coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh rose to 938, a release from the health department said. However, no new death was reported in the past 24 hours, as the Covid-19 toll in the state stood at 53, said the health department officials. The virus has so far covered half of the 52 districts in the state. The new districts from where cases were reported on Wednesday included Agar Malwa and Alirajpur. Indore has 544 cases in the state with 117 getting reported in the last 24 hours. Nine more cases were reported from Bhopal, taking the tally in the state capital to 167. Khargone jumped to the third spot with 22 more testing positive, taking the district’s tally to 39. Of the 53 deaths in the state, 37 were reported from Indore alone. So far, five persons have died in Bhopal, six in Ujjain, three in Khargone and one each in Chhindwara and Dewas. Bhopal, (Samajweekly) With 70 more persons testing positive during in past 24-hours, the number of coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh jumped to 1,552, as per the Tuesday night bulletin. Bhopal registered highest increase with 31-cases during past 24-hours, taking the number of COVID-19 cases in state capital up to 285. Indore continues to be the highest in the state with 915 cases adding 18 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The death toll reached 80 with four deaths reported overnight. New deaths due to COVID-19 are reported from Ujjain, Dewas, Agar Malwa and Dhar (one each). Indore, remains the hottest spot accounting for 79 deaths. It has recorded 43 new confirmed cases taking the tally to 165. Dhar reported 20 new cases in 24 hours, followed by Ujjain 18, eight each in Bhopal and Jabalpur, four in Raisen, two each in Khargone and Khandwa and one each in Anuppur and Tikamgarh. Bhopal now has 571 cases, Ujjain (184), Jabalpur (106), Khargone (79), Dhar (75), Raisen (63), Khandwa (49) and three each in Anuppur and Tikamgarh. Just as Indore looked set to flatten the curve through the week-end, the numbers went up by seven again. Indore continues to be way ahead with the tally of coronavirus positive cases standing at 897 on Monday. The single-digit rise came as a consolation though. With 84 persons testing positive during the 24 hours, the number of positive cases climbed to 1,485 in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, health officials said.
